Constructing the U.S.S. Sinclair - Project Sinclair

2372 - Proposal Accepted from Starfleet Operations to build several new Defiant Class Escort Cruisers.
Minor changes to the Defiant blueprints made to suit the Sinclair's purposes.  (The project name is
Project Sinclair, so the vessel is unofficially called the Sinclair.)  Name and NCC number application
made to Starfleet Department of Technical Services.  Materials for main space-frame were obtained, and
Third-party System Contractors begin working on their respective (as indicated above) system(s).

2373 - Blueprints for the Sinclair completed.  Space-frame started.  Preliminary stress-tests of
space-frame conducted.

2374 - Space-frame completed, and full stress-tests conducted of completed frame.  Test results were
impressive, and the Starfleet Inspection was passed.  Propulsion systems completed by Shuvinaljis Warp
Technologies and installed.  Power Transfer Conduits (PTC) are added for the Warp Drive, Phasers,
Phaser Cannons, Torpedo Launchers, Main Deflector, Sensor Arrays, and Tractor Beams.

2375 - Phaser, Phaser Cannon, Torpedo Launcher, Main Deflector, Warp Core, Sensor Arrays, Impulse,
and Thruster systems installed.  Testing of the Warp Core begins.  Exterior Duranium Alloy plates start
being attached to the space-frame.

2376 - Testing of all main systems begin.  Optical Data Network (ODN) fully installed.  Corridors and
smaller rooms (such as crew quarters) are started and completed.  Starfleet Department of Technical
Services approves the name U.S.S. Sinclair and registry NCC-74209 as it's official designation.
Engineering, Bridge, Sickbay, Science, and Marine Bays are completed.

2377 - Main Computer is installed and tied in to all terminals and stations throughout the Sinclair.  All
vessel secondary, backup, and emergency functions are tested for Starfleet Certification.  Primary
Systems Certification testing are also started.

2378 - Primary Systems testing completed.  Starfleet Inspectors conduct Certification testing of all
primary, secondary, backup, and emergency systems.  All Certifications are passed.

07/15/2378 - The U.S.S. Sinclair NCC-74209 is officially commissioned for duty under the Command of
Cmdr. Joseph Sare and Lt. Cmdr. Jerry Diehl.  The Sinclair's maiden voyage also made on this date.
